Iron Maiden performed in Warsaw tonight, I just came back from the stadium and I'm publishing the first photos.
I was very motivated for this concert because this world tour is special. They want to perform songs only from albums released in the 80's. Setlist was perfect... well... almost! I missed only one song: "Flight of Icarus" - No luck this time!
This day (7/Aug/2008) is a very special day for Bruce Dickinson, the vocalist. It's his 50th birthday and ofcourse was celebrated in the Polish way. I don't know why, but Polish people think the British understand Polish, they've sung the Polish birthday song(sto lat, sto lat) to Bruce. Well, the intention matters the most. :)
I was alone in this concert, that's why there are no photos of me. Sometimes I try to find somebody to go with me to such concerts but it's really hard. My mission here is to make Poland a heavier country, oh yeah!
The best performances, in my opinion were:
- Rime of ancient mariner
- Hallowed be thy name
"...cuz at 5 o'clock, they take me to the gallows pole. (Yeaahh) The sands of time, for me, are running loooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!" (from the song: Hallowed be thy name)
